K.Satpayev Kazakh National Technical  University today is 11 profile institutes, 54 cathedras, where about 200 doctors of science and over 500 candidates of science teach and do research. With their efforts systemic changes have been made to improve education process, to improve the quality of teaching, and finalized the switch to so-called three-level education system (baccalaureate – master – PhD). The university conforms to ISO 9001:2000:1 of “Russian register” certification association and International networks of certification bodies IQNet.

K.Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University activates works on international accreditation of 12 undergraduate programs in world’s leading agencies, such as ASIIN (Germany), ABET (USA).

Dual diploma programs have been created; the university signed the Great Charter of universities in Bologna, i.e. «Magna Charta Universitatum»; thus joining the European high education zone.

Agreements have been made and work has started on dual diploma joint undergraduate and postgraduate programs with Moscow Steel Institute, Colorado School (USA), Girne American University on Cyprus, Swedish Royal Technological institute, Henry Puankare university ”Nancy-1”.
K.Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University is the sole CIS university and one of the world’s 16 university chosen by Chevron corporation as its partner.
