Over 20 years of the independence, Kazakhstan has achieved great success in building, economic development, inter-ethnic harmony, growth of welfare of citizens. Thanks to the President, his vision and competent leadership the republic has lived under a peaceful sky, in the spiritual unity and friendship among all ethnic groups inhabiting it. Within a short period Kazakhstan was an honor to the trials, successes achieved in the domestic and foreign policy, developed a strategy of industrial-innovative development. Positive changes have taken place not only in regional centers and small towns and remote villages. Of course, these changes also affected our friendly multinational Kentau.

The plant and its future

In 2005 Kentau was visited by the President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The first visit of the Head of State in the town of miners was truly a historic event in its annals. Visiting Kentau Transformer Plant, having familiarized with its products, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said: "Your business is the only business in Kazakhstan which produces transformers. So Kentau has a great future. "And these were prophetic words.

50th anniversary of the company, which reported two years ago, coincided with the release of the first power transformer capacity of 25,000 KVA voltage class 35 kV. The factory built a plant for the production of transformers, voltage 35-110 kV class, which allowed recruiting 300 people. This was a great achievement in the energy sector of Kazakhstan and the pride of the plant and the city. GTC provides transformers not only for Kazakhstan, but also for customers from many other post-Soviet countries. The quality of products has no complaints from the customers.

Prior to the development of new product, management of the plant carefully examined the market, making sure that there is demand for the products at the competitive market. Chinese manufacturers were main competitors. Recently, the plant was visited by the delegation from China, which is interested in manufacture of electrical equipment and suggested creating a joint business.

The collective of the plant does not stand still, expanding product range and developing new capacity. Last year, construction began on a new machine shop, designed for the manufacture of metal structures.

- Under construction department it is required to produce transformers with voltage of 35-110 kV - says Zhalgas Umbetaly, Deputy Technical Director of JSC "KTZ". - It will be equipped with the latest technology and machines. Today the plant employs about 1200 people. After opening the workshop there will be additional 50 jobs.

The main consumers of the plant are "KazMunayGas", "Kazakstan Temir Joly" and others. GTC is involved in tenders for the supply not only the transformers, but also many other types of electrical equipment.

The "Road Map" gone well!

In the recent years, the "road map" has caused notable shifts in the social life of the city. Last year Kentau received a significant financing from the national and oblast budgets. These funds made it possible to overhaul and repair of education and health. Among the upgraded facilities - school № 12, 14, 4, and professional school № 7, City Hospital, Infectious Diseases and Children's hospitals, kindergartens, "Kamkor" and "Aliyah."

Ongoing maintenance work carried out in several schools, including those located in the suburban villages, in a tuberculosis dispensary, maternity home. In parallel, efforts were made to improve the material-technical base of schools: open-multimedia language lab, two biology study, six classrooms of physics. Renovated schools were equipped with new furniture and equipment – with total of 3505 desks and 184 boards.

Within a short period in the region recovered seven bridges, including just four in the village Hantagy - one in Aschysae, two - at Karnak. A repair of roads through the streets of Altynsarin, Kalenova, Shokaya, Al-Farabi, Ryskulova. Given in the order of plumbing, including a pumping station in the village Aschysay. Were restored internal heating network of the city, canals, reservoirs Irmak Ozen. The implementation of the "road map" to allow repair work to attract about 500 people from the local population, which has no permanent job yet.

Kentau dwellers commended the efforts of the authorities to provide transport links between neighboring regions. In the operation was put capitally repaired highway Turkestan - Kentau - Teriskey. This road has a length of 37 km is not just a "dressed" in the new asphalt, but is much safer. The most dangerous areas fenced reflective bump stops.

Almost 80 years the population of Kungei (south side of the spur Karatau) and Teriskeya (North) was forced to travel at a very bad road. New - not only linked villages and towns located in the foothills of the Karatau, but also significantly reduced the distance between the Kyzylorda and Zhambyl regions. The "road map" has paved the way for the revival of the city, causing a feeling of admiration for residents and visitors have a pleasant surprise.

Kindergartens and schools

According to the President of the State program "100 schools, 100 hospitals" in our town was built secondary school number 19 named. A.Moldagulova 600 seats. The new school 27 classes, three athletic fields, gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium, library and medical room. It may be recalled that the last time a school in the city was built in 1990. Among the new will, which is building the time - the opening in the suburban village Kushata new clinic. This year is also initiated construction of a school for 200 people estimated to cost 158 million 413 thousand tenge.

Conducted in Kentau and construction of a new kindergarten, which cost over 151 million tenge. By the end of the year in the new preschool children's voices will be heard. This is not the first object, erected in the city under the "Balapan." From the beginning, open kindergartens "Manshuk", "Koktem" where the place got 240 kids. Also in the villages of Karnak, Bayyldyr open 3 groups of 65 places at schools № 5, 6, 10, three mini-center for 75 children. Due to city budget for kindergartens' Almagul "," Alia "and" Tansholpan "formed by three groups of 75 persons.

The attention of Heads of State to the problems of small towns, social problems are making an invaluable contribution to the development and revival of Kentau, improving the quality of life. So Kentauers prepared to meet adequately the great date in the biography of his country - the 20th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan, noting the commitment of the President, demonstrating the ability to solve complex problems of state and global scale.
