The first transformer with capacity of 25 000 kVA and 35 kV voltage class has recently been produced. The new production has become a kind of gift to the half-century anniversary of Kentau transformer factory.

They joined the line of cultivated types of transformers: the power of 1000 KVA to 25,000 KVA voltage of 35 kV. Today, the company embarked on the development and manufacture of electrical megamachine voltage of 110 kV.

In the development of new products, the company invests a lot of money. In Kazakhstan, because there is no industry-research institute. Update on the Technology Park, the training of new product development and maintenance engineers are priority funding. The plant produces a voltage of 10 kV transformers for half a century. However, the development project of 35 kV are faced with many difficulties, chief among them - lack of expertise and technology.

- While the industrial building was built, experts traveled to Russia, Ukraine, Europe, China, visiting the family of production, attracting professionals from the outside, participated in many trade shows - says the project manager Erkebulan Ilyasov. The outcome of the preparatory work was the development of the eight types of high-tech products in demand. The first customer in the electrical machinery rated at 25 kV, 000 kVA voltage was Atyrau Refinery. We are grateful for his leadership credibility of domestic commodity producers, it is no secret that the leaders of large companies prefer to outsource in Russia, Ukraine and China, although the green light should be for domestic producers.

The new plant in Kentau employed 300 people. Another 250 were employed in Turkestan, where arranged production of reinforced concrete pillars NE-95, 110, 111, 164. Power companies can produce 50,000 units per year. Work at the plant is now in three shifts. Meanwhile, here are preparing to implement the second part of the ambitious project, which is based on the solution to increase local content in the real economy. At the design stage is a plant for the production of power transformers 220 and 500 kV. Operation of these electric megamachines will be done by the national company «KEGOK». The project is knowledge-intensive and complex, but Kentau transformer plant workers are sure that they will successfully cope with the task.
