Highly developed national production is a guarantee for being included in the list of the world's top 50 leading states. That is why upon initiative of the President of the country the Program for accelerated industrial and innovative development was adopted. In the framework of the program technological research is being done, innovations are being implemented and efficient equipment is being used. One of such instances is Electrical Wiring administration of Alageum Electric – a leading enterprise of the country in the electrical technology sector.
The Electrical Wiring Administration was founded by «Alageum Engineering Project Institute» JSC in Astana, «Kentau Transformer Plant» JSC, «Almaty electromechanical plant» LLC, each having its own concise area of activity. For instance, «Alageum Engineering Project Institute» JSC deals with energy projects, engineering networks and block power substations with 10, 35, 110, 220, 500 kV voltage. «Kentau Transformer Plant» JSC is a unique company with a 50-year history. «Kentau Transformer Plant» is a city-forming enterprise which provides the largest part of revenues for the city's budget. The main task of the plant is production of power, oil and dry-type transformers with transformer power of up to 25 000 kVA and voltage of 10–35 kV, substations, low and high voltage units, molded and dry-type Nomex transformers by Dupont and other electrical technology equipment. Moreover, Kentau Transformer Plant mastered the whole chain of power transformers with voltage of 35, 110 kV and transformer power of up to 63 000 kVA. We have substantial experience in production of block substations ОРУ, ЗРУ, ОПУ 35, 110 kV. The specialists of the plant prepared and produced full package of typical substation КТПБ (К) 110-35/10. In 2010 tens of block substations equipped with power transformers with voltage 110, 35 kV were developed and produced under the national brand Alageum Electric.
«Almaty electromechanical plant» specializes in cabinet-type constructions, substations, low and high voltage units. «Kaztransformator» Trade house located in Almaty deals with delivery of electro technical products and sales of lowvoltage equipment of Alageum Electric mark. The branches of Alageum Electric located in several oblast centres of the country deal with maintenance of electro technical products and electric , расположенные в ряде областных центров страны, берутся за монтаж электротехнических изделий и electrically conducting networks, equipped with specialized production base and necessary technology for construction of substations of 10, 35, 110, 220, 500 kV.
The company is planning to open representative offices all over the country to provide service support aiming to establish long-lasting and win-win business relations. This will allow our customers to receive the full package of such specialized services as design, production, delivery, installation, switching, testing of turnkey projects, along with post-sales service of electro technical equipment. It is important that it will all be done by a single administration; there will be no need to look for contractors to carry out different types of electrical installation works.
If to take into account that no single company or enterprise will be able to make a step without electric energy, then the contribution of our company into the industrial development of the country becomes clear. We think big and already have established contacts with secondary schools of Kentau and Turkestan cities, picking gifted youngsters and sending them to study at higher education institutions and specialized secondary schools and colleges. Having received higher education diplomas and mastered engineering and trade programs, first young specialists have already returned to our enterprises. The company cooperated with such higher education providers as Almaty Energy and Communication University, National Technical University named after K.Satpaev, Karagandy State Technical University, International Kazakh Turkish University after A.Yassawi, Southern Kazakhstan State University named after M.Auezov. During holidays our students come to the plants for paid internship programs. Monthly wage of KZT40k is a good opportunity to earn and immerse into the future profession.
We also take care of our young specialist by solving their major issue, i.e. accommodation. for the last two years only we have distributed 48 flats for this category of our employees. Of course, young specialists have not received them for free. The cost of the flats is paid back gradually by deducting it from monthly pay on preferential terms, and after the full repayment the flat is transferred to private ownership. I think that most large enterprises are able to find an opportunity to support their own young specialists and solve their personnel issue.
Only by providing support to the young in their endeavor to master engineering is it possible to bravely anticipate the future and be confident that the relay of the elder generation will be taken up by the young. In the past Kentau transformer plant used to be only a branch of one of Uzbekistan plants. Since Kazakhstan's independence the plant has experienced many difficulties. But it did not close, nor fell apart, but instead has become a major independent company, having significantly expanded the product range and provided a basis for the creation of a holding company.
Today it is a modern enterprise which has developed new technologies and which delivers its products not only to the domestic market, but also for export. Our company Alageum Electric is an example of successful industrial development of the country made over the years of independence. It is unlikely that it would have been possible without strong state support.
