Nowadays, less attention is given to amazing invention and plastic art of Kazakh ornamental design. National ornaments and patterns lack the universal sense and become to have more ordinary meaning of pattern for embellishment. However, it is a sign that national values are still worth something. Today, these ornaments and patterns decorate souvenirs dedicated to Asiada.
Bear panda, habituating in China, turned to be a symbol of international competitions in last summer Olympic games in Beijin and was presented to winners and honorable guests as a souvenir. Winter Olympic games in Vancouver, a leaf of Maple was presented as a gift.
What about us?
What are we going to give to participants of Asia continent on the threshold of Winter Asian Games. What souvenirs will we have?
More than ten thousand tourists are expected to come in four months to Almaty and Astana from yellow continent. So, we think that these cities should continuously serve to guests coming from thirty countries. They will be interested in everyday life of the nation, its singularity, historic al values and culture. That is why it is necessary to take into account all these points.
Bags, towels, pens and notebooks, jackets, hats, scarfs, calendars and plastic bags, as well as such things as winter hats with label “Astana/ Almaty - 2011” and winter Asiada’s logo have been made in Turkey.
In its turn, companies “Ademi-Ay” and JSC “Organization of VII Asia Games Committee” made the exposition of clothes, jewelry and souvenirs dedicated to Asian Games with White Asiada logo. Souvenirs, assigned to Asiada guests have been introduced by Aibek Kapakov, the vice-president of JSC “Organization of VII Asiada Games Committee”.
- Now, several national companies are sponsors of VII Winter Asian Games. As you know, fund of National Wealth “Samruk - Kazyna” has been assigned as the general sponsor of White Asiada. Also, major companies as JSC “Air Astana”, JSC “Kazakhtelecom”, “Doctor Web” render their sponsorship. “We express the immeasurable gratitude to “Ademi-Ai Plus” company for 15 million tenge granted for manufacturing of White Asiadas’s souvenirs. In return, we will promote the distribution of the goods of “Ademi-Ai Plus” in “Mega” shopping mall, international airport of Almaty city and railway stations, - said Aibek Kapakov.
Whips, harness, “erturman”, different jewelry, highly ranked in Kazakh houses, have been exhibited on the shelves of house of art “Ademi - Ai”.
They have the sense of national culture and gladden the eye. However, we cannot affirm that everything is made in Kazakhstan. President of “Ademi-Ai” company, cultural worker of RK Bakhargul Tolegenkyzy:
-“Artist and arichetectors from the whole country have been involved into creation of these souvenirs. Particularly, since the project has been dedicated to Winter Asian Games , the decoration of the Asiada’s symbol have had highest priority. Unfortunately, we do not have the equipment to manufacture these goods. That’s why they are made jointly with China and Turkey. So far, we can say that many people like Asiada souvenirs”- she said.
-Moscow Olympic games in 1980, Olympic games in Sidney in 2000 and in Beijin in 2008 have been memorized because of their national peculiarities. The national uniqueness has been emphasized at all international events occurring in Asia.
