Bakhargul Tolegenkyzy. There is no richer person than Bakhargul// Egemen Kazkahstan 21.02.2009

Today Bakhargul Tolegenkyzy has more than thousand of ancient relics. Bakhargul has been carried away by collecting of jewellery and home appliances, values of which grow every year, since studying at Beijin University. The collection of our compatriot contains amazing jewellery and applied workpieces ranging from XII century to modern time.

The opening of Bakhargul Tolegenkyzy’s exhibition “Zhuregimde Otanym” (Motherland in the heart) supported by Ministry of culture and information and Worldwide Kazakh Association occurred at the beginning of the week.

Bahargul born in Chinese town Shaushek has been doing her business for 15 years. She returned to Motherland in 1994 and decided to make  a research in ancient applied art .
“Earlier, when I was studying in Beijin, I visited palaces of Chinese Emperors, enjoyed ancient workpieces, relics.” Then after my return to Motherland I thought about collecting treasures of my nation,”- Bakhargul said.

At exhibition in Kasteyev Museum in Almaty around 800 of workpieces have been exposed. Such as koshma, rugs, covers, “kebezhe”, boxes,  silver jewellery, copper samovars, aged mills, mortars and pestels, dishes faced by silver. To refill her collection she went to unknown places in China, Tibet, Mongolia and Kazakhstan.

Touching the topic of wellness of Bakhargul, it is impossible not to mention about souvenirs for foreigners and honourable guests she produces. Only yesterday, when independence has been gained, the touristic business issue raised, we “broke our heads” to decide what kind of souvenirs to present to foreigners. Among businessmen solving this problem, the particular place has been taken by Bakhargul. In 2000 she opened JSC”Ademi-Ai” and house of Art “Ademi”. Understanding values of ancient relics, Kazakh girl not only collected them but started the patent based manufacture of souvenirs, representing rich culture and history, appealing to patriotic feelings. Magazine “Ademi-Ai” has been published in 2007 to introduce applied art values. Another house of art “Ademi - Ai”has been opened  in Astana last year. This is a meaning of businesswoman. Many people appreciate the Bakhargul’s professionalism; she creates wellness from almost nothing.

Nowadays, it is easy to recognize items from her collection at international exhibitions in Kazakhstan and abroad.
