Announcer: Let’s turn back to the events in our country. A move under the name of «Spring week of kindness» has started in Almaty. At the threshold of celebrating the 64th anniversary of the Victory Day in the square of Aliya Moldagulova and Manshuk Mametova a ceremony of laying flowers took place with participation of veterans of the World War II, activists of youth-wing party «Jas Otan» and maslikhat deputies.
Announcer: On May 9 this year it is 64 years since victory of Soviet army over fascism. Over 1 mln kazakhstani soldiers went to the war, about 500 warriors of the country were honored with the title of Soviet Union Heroes for their feat of arms.
Viktor Nevraev, veteran of the World War II: - Today is the day of two holidays, i.e. the past May 1 which is the day of uniting the friendship of nations, a holiday of peace and labour, and the coming holiday of commemorating the lost in the World War II and paying respect to the living heroes of the World War II.
Abdrakhman Nasatpaev, veteran of the World War II: - I celebrate all young people on the upcoming great holiday. This is a holiday not only in the history of the mankind and not only the holiday of development of our country, but is the very history of the mankind. That is a turning point, the great victory made this turning point in the history of the mankind.
Announcer: The spring week of kindness is dedicated to the remembrance of the participants of the World War II – this is an undertaking which has become traditional. During the week with support of Almaly regionall branch of «Nur Otan» party the activist of the youth-wing of the party will celebrate the veterans and workers of the rear. The participants of the action will help by cleaning the dwelling areas of the veterans, purchasing and delivering food products, medicine, payment of utility bills, writing letters to relatives, etc.
Marat Prinbekov, Mayor of Almaly region: - A lot of patriotism has been contributed in this action, and the most important is the willing of the young people to simply pay tribute to and come to lonely living veterans and help them with not only a deed but also care and attention.
