In 2009 JSC "Kentau Transformer Plant" (JSC "KTZ") together with other enterprises form «Alageum Electric» JSC. Alageum Electric is actively involved in government programs, including those to increase local content, forced industrial-innovative development, etc.

In 2009 «Alageum Engineering» was established. This is a powerful design institute, which together with the «Alageum Electric» wiring administration develops and delivers comprehensive "turnkey" advanced science-intensive projects, power plants and substations up to 500kV.

In 2008 JSC "KTZ" won:

• I place in the South Kazakhstan competition called "Altyn Sapa" in "Best industrial goods" nomination;
• I place in the Republican contest called "Best exporter of finished domestic products" in the "Best exporter among small and medium-sized businesses" nomination.

On December 27, 2007 "Shymkent metal plant" was launched with a design capacity of 40 thousand tons of steel. The territory of the plant occupies an area of ​​23,000 square meters, which are industrial, office and warehouse space. The main activity of "Shymkent metal plant” is the manufacturing of metal and metal products for general and industrial construction (warehouses, production halls, shopping malls, sports facilities). At the request of the customer it also produces standard and customized metal and steel structures of varying complexity, shapes and sizes, including beams, columns, as well as components and parts, pre-fabricated buildings made of light metal, such as laminated wall and roof "sandwich" panels with insulation made of basalt fiber with length of 20 meters.

In 2007 - JSC "KTZ" takes III place at the South Kazakhstan competition "Altyn Sapa" in nomination "The best industrial goods." In the same year delivered 320 production companies, of which 95% of production - 190 large consumers, compared to 2005. sales volume of commodity output increased by 220%, export sales increased by 450%. In the first nine months of 2008, forty percent of the total volume of output supplied to the plant to Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

In 2005 - JSC "KTZ" takes I place in the competition "Best goods of South Kazakhstan region" in the category "Consumer Goods".

In 2005 Asset Management Holding Company named «Alageum Group» was established in order to create a unified concept of development strategy and asset management of the leading domestic electrical products manufacturers, as well as several other steadily developing companies occupying a leading position in electrical engineering of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main purpose of the Holding Company is to implement the development strategy of the real sector of the economy, meeting short and long term interests of the founders, as well as adding value to the companies.

In 2004 Kentau transformer plant successfully implemented a quality management system to meet the international standard ISO 9001-2000 by the Dutch firm named "KEMA".
In 2001-2005 Kentau transformer factory developed new products, such as ETC, KTPU, BDRM, BHA, TAP, TLC, TMPN, TMTO, TSL, TSN, and many others. modern equipment was implemented at the plant.

In 2000 based on result of product analysis "Kentau Transformer Plant" was awarded a diploma for the high quality of products. In the same year Almaty Electromechanical Plant developed and started production of QFT KTPG, ETC 25-2500 kVA, KRU (H) 10 (6) kV series K-7M, R-8M, CSR 292, CSR 366, CSR 393, ASP, SCHO-70-SCHO 90, SR, CR, I-5000, OP, OPV, OSCHV et al.

The years 1997-2000 were marked by development of 12 new products, such as NTMI-10 ZNOM, UKZV and UKZN, KTPN-25-40/6-10 transformer substations for oil.

In 1997-1999 JSC "Almaty Electromechanical Plant" leaves “Almaty railways” and in the form of LLP became a member of JSC "Kentau Transformer Plant."

Prior to 1997 is a period of successful development of transformers ranging from 25 to 630 kVA oil transformer OM-0 ,63-1, 25/6-10, single-phase transformers, complete transformer substations KTP-25-250/6-10.

In 1981-1982, KTZ mastered the production of high-voltage transformers TM-100/35, OMZH-10/35, TMZH-25/35, TMZH-100/35. Meanwhile, the products were exported to Czechoslovakia, Germany, Mongolia, Afghanistan and Poland. The plant participated in international exhibitions in Dresden, Madrid. As a result, the company's products were highly praised and awarded with medals and diplomas.

In 1979 KTZ started producing instrument transformers. In 1976 the production of 4-10/6-10 transformers for oil and power transformers 100-400 kVA and 35 kV started at KTZ.

In 1974 the State Commission signed the act of reaching design capacity of 2080 thousand kW and 14 000 complete transformer substations (KTZ).

In 1970 the plant launched commercial production of transformers OM-0, 63-1, 25/6-10 (KTZ).

In 1971 was the beginning of production of complete transformer substations of type KTPA (KTZ).

In 1972 the plant started production of Heating immersions and EPO-1, 0/220, EPM-0, 3/220, EPM-0, 5/220, electric stoves, "Tamasha" ovens, electric ovens, oil coolers ERMPB 1,0 - 220 (KTZ).

In 1967 construction was completed on the main body of the plant on an area of ​​14.25 thousand meters (KTZ).

In 1961 the plant mastered the production of a complete transformer substation type GKTP (KTZ).

On July 10, 1960 the first transformer TM-180/10 was produced (KTZ).

In 1959  "Almaty Electromechanical Plant" was established on the base of train-repair shop under Ministry of transport and communication.

On August 8, 1959 by the Decree of the Government of the Kazakh SSR "Kentau transformer plant" (KTZ) was established on the base of an automobile plant being constructed in Kentau as an enterprise for the production of power transformers of sizes 1-2 and complete transformer substations.
