In 1997 Farida Merhamitkyzy established the company «Erke – Nur».

In 1993 she returned home to Kazakhstan with her family and made her own business. She speaks Kazakh, Chinese and Russian.

After leaving Kazakh secondary school she entered Pedagogical University in 1983. After graduating university by speciality «Natural science and geography», she worked as a editor in a department «Natural science and geography» at a scientific engineering printing-office.

In 2001 and 2009 the President of «Erke – Nur» company Farida Merhamitkyzy in the numbers of business woman of Almaty city had been at the admittance of organized by the Head of State. She had been rewarded with letter of thanks of the President N.A. Nazarbayev, accustomed to the celebration of «10-years Independence of Republic of Kazakhstan», with a medal «10-years of Constitution», medal «10-years of Astana city», and medal of «Atameken» 3rd degree.

Production of the company is much in demand at the market thanks to quality and cost.

• In 2007 «The choice of the year 2007» the company became «The best fashion house of the year».
• In 2003 Company «Erke – Nur» got diploma like «The best production of Kazakhstan» at the exhibition, dedicated to the date of world-wide quality of production in Astana in 2003 and also got diplomas of the 2nd and the 3rd degree for the top quality of production and thanks letter of the head of Almaty, diploma of the 2nd degree «Gold quality».

In 2004 she opened fashion theatre «Erke – Nur». About 150 people work in this company now. The main trend of the company is making modern national clothes. Now the company is well – known in light industry in Kazakhstan. Keeping to traditions and customs of Kazakh people, the company makes high-quality clothes for men and women. They also sew souvenirs, school uniform, military clothes, special clothes for frontier-guards and railwaymen.

In November, 2008 to the celebration the 10th anniversary of «Erke – Nur», there was held a fashion show, where spectators had a chance to see more than 120 kinds of fashionable garments.

In 2004 the company «Erke – Nur» with Assembly of people of Kazakhstan represented the best national clothes of Kazakh people and Kazakhstan.

There was scientific practical conference and a fashion show organized by theatre with association Assembly of nations of Kazakhstan, which took place in the House of Friendship.

Fashion theatre «Erke – Nur» which created collections of clothes keeping to traditions and customs of Kazakh people, took part at the international competitions in China, Turkey, Germany, Sweden, Russian and got prize. To the 15th anniversary of independence of our republic they also held exhibition of national clothes in Germany, Belgium, Holland and America.

The Manufacture by the leadership of Farida Merhamitkyzy often participates in various cultural and business events, which took place in Almaty, and helps poor families, mothers that have disabled children, children’s home and old people.
