Biography
Jania Aubakirova won the Grand Prix of the International Competition of Chamber ensembles (France) in 1985 and the Grand Prix of the Concours International Marguerite Long et Jacques Thibaud and a special prize of the same Concours, “For the Best Performance of Contemporary French Composers” (France) in 1983.
Mrs. Aubakirova regularly gives the concerts with well-known orchestras in Kazakhstan, the most famous halls in France, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, Russia, Poland, Italy, the USA, Israel, Greece, and Hungary. She played in Salle Pleyel, Salle Gaveau, Salle Alfred Cortot, Concert Hall in Sapporo, Grand Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory, Philharmonic Grand Hall, Moscow International Music House, Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Hall, Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Vigoda Hall, Konzerthaus, Kennedy Centre Concert Hal, Carnegie Hall.
Jania Aubakirova cooperates closely with famous collectives and musicians: Mikhail Pletnev, Alexander Sladkovsky , Alexander Vedernikov, Denis Shapovalov, Marat Bisengaliev, Alexander Trostyansky, Christophe Mangou, quartet «Danel», Russian National Orchestra, Symphony orchestra of the French Radio, Symphony Orchestra of India, English chamber orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra and others.
Since 1997 she has been the Rector for the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Conservatoire.
Since then the conservatoire has become the leading music institute of the country and the cultural and educational center of the republic.
In 1994 Mrs. Aubakirova founded a private music school that provides education with modern education methods and technologies.
In 1998 with Jania Aubakirova’s initiative the first independent Music Agency in Kazakhstan, “Classica” was organized. Since then, the Agency has signed responsible for a number of outstanding music events in over 25 countries. Among its most successful are “Les Saisons Kazakhes en France” of 1998 and 1999, the filming and editing of 20 music video films, production of 50 CD’s of the best performers of the classical music in Kazakhstan.
Every year Jania Aubakirova conducts master classes in South Korea, Germany, France and Russia.
Jania Aubakirova successfully graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in the class of professor Lev Vlasenko.
