Among them Kabanbai batyr and Aset ata are brightly allocated. Modern heroes, patriots of their countries, take an example from them; they are going the way of righteousness, continuing their great mission. In the most difficult times of the great God gives great persons to its people. It is because time itself brings them to the stage of history.

We want to tell you about a man who is known all over Kazakhstan - Kusman Karimovich Shalabayev. He is a native of the village Makanchi of Urzharskiy ditrict located in the East Kazakhstan region, has become an example for many people. After his military service in the Soviet Army, this handsome guy went to the capital at that time, Almaty, to realize his dream, but no one greeted him with open arms, giving him shelter and job. But in spite of everything, the fifth of ten children of veteran Karim Aty and mother Marziya, Kusman was stubborn in achieving his goal.

He started his career by working as a mechanic, gradually moving from the master to engineer and to the head of shift of the bus fleet No. 2 of Almaty. Having graduated from Almaty Road Institute, speciality automobile business, it seemed he completely devoted himself to this area of ​​activity, but after changes in the political system in the society, in accordance with the demand of time, he retrained and moved on to the market way. We say "joined", but in reality he was one of the leaders of this movement. At that time entrepreneurs could be counted on fingers of one hand in Almaty city with more than million inhabitants. One of them was Kusman. He opened the market name after his father Karim, deceased by that time. This was a major enterprise, giving jobs to many of Kusman’s compatriots. By this time he graduated from Kazakh Humanitarian Institute named after D.Konaeva, speciality "Law", he has also completed studies at the faculty "Economics and Management" of Kazakh Academy of Public Administration. Later he received a degree in "International Relations" at Diplomatic Academy of the University named after L. Gumilev. In 2007-2009 he mastered the course "Economics and Management" under "MBA" program at Moscow State University named after M.Lomonosov.

During this period, Kazakhstan gained its independence and began transition to a radically new system, going into market relationships, the society still hoped for the state, being under the authority of Soviet ideology. Just at that time young Kusman started a new, unexpected business. He determined to go through intended way, following folk wisdom "Risk is a tricky business: if you manage you will catch it". And thanks God, good business can not be unprofitable, his business has gone. At that time he became known to everybody, became mainstay to needy, hope to looking. Fully supporting the wise policy of the President Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, he in his capabilities did everything for the growth of the country’s economy, sought to improve social situation of people. In 2003 he was elected to deputy of city maslikhat of III convocation in region No.3 of Almala district. Having acquainted with way of living of his constituents, a brave young entrepreneur actively participated in allocation of funds from the city budget for education and health, as a result two schools, one hospital, three kindergartens were repaired. Roads passing by these institutions have been re-covered with new asphalt. People see when everything possible is done for them: it unconditionally was elected to deputies of IV convocation. And this time this enterprising man was in charge of public works. During the activity, he became one of the activists who staged "kazaksha kures" on a global level. In 2006 he was electedas chairman of society “Kazak tili”, in 2010 he was elected President of National Federation Kazaksha kures of Almaty city. He was one of the first who organized international competitions in Kazaksha kures for the medal of akim of Almaty city. And in this case the public was grateful to Kusman Karimovich for great contribution in this sphere. A native of the historic place as Makanchi, near sacred mountain Zhaytobe, he greatly lived through the fate of Kazakh language: the word is said, it's done, he began to translate idea into practice. He was able to prove words with deeds. Today (since 2002) he, has been working as head of local committee of self-government of Almala district, is very attentive to his work, especially to social problems of population. All the time important meetings with local residents and days of open houses have been organised, spiritual and material support for veterans and disabled is provided. Six public funds were established for this, which improved the work as a whole. He is also a member of Public Democratic Party "NUR OTAN". His public association is a member of the Central Auditing Commission. He was elected a chairman of council to fight against corruption. He ever spared neither time nor ability to assist veterans of World War II, pensioners, low-income citizens, always taking an active part in social and public life. He allocated five hundred thousand for preschool children institution of Almala district. For several years he has been organizing holiday "Nouryz" in three schools. In 2006 at the request of Association of mothers and children with disabilities "Ardi" reporting to Almala district he allocated five thousand dollars for treatment of two-year-old Mahmoud Hasimutdin in Poland. He allocated half-million tenge for construction of mosque in Almala district. Annually he sponsors national contest of dombra players, competition for young poets among schoolchildren in Almaty, regular aitys among young talented poets on the theme "The Cradle of Independence – Almaty". Also contests "Childhood – a world of happiness", "I Want to Sing" and "Art of Poetry" among schoolchildren are organised under support of Kusman Karimovich. All this is not just a job; it is a response of soul – Kusman Shalabayev is a poet himself, who has a wonderful voice. So his poem "Well, I’m fifty" became a song written by music producer of trio "MuzArt", young musician Arman Beksultan. A song written under the poem "Alystafan kynderіm" is now in repertoire of Makpal Zhunusova, it sounds throughout the Republic.

Of course, the list of all sponsor activities of Kusman Karimovich will take several pages. Speaking only about assistance to his native land of Urzharskiy district, his following achievements can be noted: the purchase of new modern facilities for separation of medical treatment in therehabilitation hospital No.2 in Makanchi, including bed-massager, simulators for training leg muscles, bicycle simulator designed to fat people. At the entrance to Makanchi village he set gates of Kabanbai batyr, and there near the mountain Zhaytobe he began construction of batyr’s tomb. He has assisted in construction of sports school "Tuz kyrandary", sponsored hajj of several imams of Urzharskiy district. This activity demonstrates moral and cultural spirit of person. This is business of man truly rich in spirit. High moral settings, intelligence of Kusman Karimovich echoed in his remarks: "To make future youth properly educated, first clear your heart", "Choose today, think about tomorrow, do not forget about yesterday", "Wise man's heart is pure", "Not all geeks are wise, not all wise men are educated","Yesterday's drunken today knows everything", "The difference between wise and foolish wife: life with stupid wife is equivalent to night with no moon, and with wise wife is equal to dawn". In this respect the God gave generously to Kusman Karimovich: his wife Karamat Sattarkyzy came from an educated family, owner of a good heart, who devoted himself to serving the family and her husband. His poem "I am a descendant of yours – father" is a description of succession of generations from father to son. Today the song is being written under it, which is at the stage of arranging ...

Here's a way of life of "Honour citizen of Manchi village of Urzharskiy region", who celebrates his 50th anniversary, awarded the certificate "Kurmet" of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, various festive medals, the medal "Batyr Shapagat" named after B.Momyshuly, awarded in 2010 the Order "Kurmet" by Decree of the President of Kazakhstan.
