The campaign was carried out in the framework of the Saturday cleaning day with participation of administration of Almaly region together with students. Total number of trees planted on that day was 16. These were gingo – palm decorative tree, which does not demand special care, golden gledicia (a decorative tree) which has a golden-like trunk, and hila catalpa – decorative flowering plant.

In opinion of Almaly region’s mayor Marat Prinbekov these trees will become the worthy decoration of the park – the favourite place of the the most Almatyers. It is worth to mention that the climate of Almaty is suitable for growing such plants, therefore upon successful acclimatization of these trees it is planned to plant something else unusual until summer.

Besides, the saturday cleaning was held in several other areas.

For example, the whole team of the theatre headed by art director Esmukhan Obaev participated in cleaning of bed of the Esentay river (in Abay Ave. near Kazakh Academic theatre of drama named after M.Auezov). Groups of students from Almaty universities worked at the square of streets Tole bi – Bayzakov - Seifullin – Raimbek.  Total number of special trucks used during the Saturday cleaning was 18 and the total number of people worked was over 2000.
